Last week the three First Grades from our school took a neighborhood walk to a local dance studio. It was an experience to learn more about how our bodies move. There were three activities that we participated in – a yoga class, Cha Cha Slide with the classroom teacher and free dance and a hip hop class with Shannon. Dancing to music was so much fun. I think everyone had a great time. Thanks to Trycia’s Mom and Noah’s Mom for coming with us.
Watch the video to see how much fun we had. It’s about 8 minutes long. I used imovie on my ipad for the first time. It’s a bit different than making it on my laptop. I’m hoping to try using this app with my class for a project.

Dear Mrs Lynch and children,
I really enjoyed reading all about your field trip to your local dance studio.
Your video was great too!
I really love dancing but I have to admit that I am a pretty awful dancer.
Happy dancing everyone from your happy feet dancer down under,
AA
Hi,
M and I just watched the video together, it was fun to watch all the kids dance. Dancing is fun, brings me back to my youthful days. I used to do social dancing like the cha cha and rumba, but can’t find time for it now. Kids should dance, it is great exercise and freedom of expression and we can see that they really enjoyed it. I know M loves to dance.

Hi Mrs Lynch,
What a great idea for an outing. Your class seem to have enjoyed Yoga and dancing. Great way for kids to be posture consciensious and learn about rythm. Hope you are having fun with the blog again this year.
