I am visiting friends in San Diego, California. It has been 40 years since I graduated from high school and we are having a reunion this weekend. It is beautiful here and so nice to see old friends again. On Friday my husband, Michel and I drove to Pacific Beach and walked on the boardwalk. Then we continued driving up the coast to La Jolla. We stopped and walked on the rocks and looked at the tide pools. When I was in high school I took a Marine Biology class and the class would meet at these tide pools at 5:00 in the morning to check out all the sea life left behind when the tide went out. Here are a few photos.
The reunion was last night. What a fun time we all had. It was amazing how many people had been friends since Kindergarten. I moved here before 10th grade. We had a photographer and he was busy all night long taking group pictures of friends. This is a picture of my best friends from High School – Nancy and Marni and me. We have been good friends for 40 years. So all you kids who just finished two years with me – be good to your friends. Maybe you will still have fun together in 50 years!

how wonderful a school reunion I just love it. As I went to two different high schools and just a few months back recieved a phone call to say that they were having a school reunion and ask if I would like to come. Like you I have not seen or heard from this group of friends for a least 30 years as I only spent time seven years with them beacause then my dad sold the farm up in the Snowy Mountains and we then moved to Geelong. However I still do have a lot of my primary school friends that we visit and catch up too. I have known them since grade prep days. Friendships are really wonderful and when you can have a friendship as long as that it really is special. I really loved the photos too and I must you all look great.

I hope that you do go to your reunion. I will be sad to go home and have to say goodbye to my good friends. It has been cloudy and cool here, though. We haven’t had much good beach weather. Maybe it will clear up today.

Hello to you and Magalie. We sure are having fun here is sunny California – though it hasn’t been very sunny yet. June is usually cloudy. But it has been a blast to see old friends and visit favorite places from high school days. We are hoping to go to the beach today and go boogie boarding. You take this short board and lay on it and ride the waves. It is lots of fun.
