Our class has been reading Folk Tales. One of our first ones was Little Red Hen. We learned about storyboard and made one together. We used it a few times to retell Little Red Hen. We also made our own picture story maps. Check out our work and our voicethread. We made our own version of Little Red Hen.

Congratulations on a fantastic story! I was particularly impressed by the clear speaking and colourful illustrations. You have some talented artists in your class! Well done class.

What a great story and what helpful friends the pig had. I hope you are all like the cat, the sheep and the rabbit. When Mrs. Lynch or your parents ask, “Who will help me…” you all say, “I will!”

Grade Two, you have done an amazing job illustrating and telling us such a wonderful story. You must have had to work very hard and collaborate with your classmates in order to have accomplished this outstanding story. I look forward to sharing it with my Grade 2 class. We are about to start an investigation on the author Lauren Child. Hopefully we will be able to share one of our favourite stories with you.
Fondly,
Mrs. B
