We had a Polar Express Brunch party for our last day of school (Friday, December 19). We started the morning with the story “The Polar Express” by Chris Van Allsburg read aloud to us by our ex-librarian, Ms. Gigi. She was asked by Santa to read Christmas stories to the children of St. Johns school. In the story the children were dressed in their pajamas and so were we. Each child received a bell. If we can hear the ringing of the bell it means that we believe in Santa Claus and the magic of Christmas.
Thanks to all the parents for the wonderful contributions to our breakfast. We had a very special day. Thanks, also to everyone who has visited our blog and made comments to us. We love to read all your comments. Merry Christmas to you all and have a safe and happy holiday.

Hi Mary Ellen and Class,
Thanks for the message on the blog. All of my class will be together again next year as well as 12 other children. We will have a massive space to work in and I will be team teaching with a graduate teacher ( Chrissy) in her first year of teaching. It is going to be so much fun! I have already started setting up a blog for next year and I will attach it to the old one so that you can find us.
I loved your snow Smile Box. I am going to have a go at making one over the Christmas break, but I might need to contact you for some technical help! It is so warm here that I have the airconditioner on at 10:15 am!
It looked like you had so much fun in your PJ’s. I am so glad that you didn’t have a snow day, and it all went ahead.
We have learned lots from all of you too and we will look forward to catching up again after the holidays. I will check in on you after January 6th.

Hi to everyone in Mrs. Lynch’s class,
You look like you are having so much fun at the Polar Express breakfast. The pictures are really cool! Thank’s for sharing the fun you had.
I really like it when someone reads me a story. In fact, I often listen to stories using my computer. I’m a great listener. In fact, I think if I try really hard I can even hear your Christmas bells ringing.
