I was tagged by Maddie Shapiro for the Wordle Meme started by Lee Kolbert. Wordle is a Web 2.0 application for generating Word Clouds from text which you provide. Words that appear more frequently in the text are featured larger. I took the challenge and my Wordle appears below. Click on the wordle to make it bigger.

I am happy to see that book and children are quite prominent.  I would like to see the word “reading” larger. It gives me an idea of what I’d like to focus more on in my blog.   We are embarking on a telecollaborative project with a class in Grosse Ile, QC, an island off the coast of Gaspe.  We did a skype call with them and my class had many questions for them.  We wondered if they had a boat.  We found out that many of the dads were fishermen and they caught lobster.  We plan to do another skype call soon.

So with my reflection on the Wordle complete, I would like to tag Trish Dower, Donna Anderson, and Karen Rye.

Here are the directions:
1. Create a Wordle from your blog’s RSS feed.
2. Blog it and describe your reaction. Any surprises?
3. Tag others to do the same.

    Hi guys,
We really love your smile box presentation, especially the scary music. We use Wordle on our class blog too, but we print screen it and attach it to the blog via the paint program.

    Hi neighbors,

What a beautiful place to visit. You are very lucky to have a teacher who is very good at creating and keeping up this fabulous space. I love your smile box Lions !! Keep up the great work and keep on reading!!
